Ian Sandercoe Biography
lan Sandercoe has over 40 years experience in the performance industry in music, theatre and
film. A published songwriter with Standard Music Publishing - Melbourne Australia & Los
Angeles USA. The 1992 Joshua Brave album "Slave to None" - with lan as lead singer - was produced by Jim Bonnefond (Hall & Oates and Meatloaf). The album stayed at #1 for over 8 weeks on local charts. lan's theatre credits include Rebecca, Les Miserables, Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd, and A Rare Jewell at the reopening of Newcastle's Civic Theatre where he performed original material.
Ian also wrote, recorded and produced original music for the introduction and conclusion of Dein Perry's show Tap Dogs. Following this, Dein Perry commissioned lan to write and record 2 tracks for the Fox searchlight release of the movie Bootmen scoring a role as cast and 2 tracks "Preacher" and "Freebound" in the soundtrack. Ian has released eight albums and six original film clips throughout his career.
lan's second solo release album, Earth day, has received radio airplay, international video
exposure and has been used for music education courses in high schools. Ian is always writing, always recording and always keeping up to date with his industry contacts and latest industry trends.
Now based on the Mid North Coast, Ian is becoming a known performer up and down the East Coast of Australia, doing acoustic takes of the classics thrown in with some original material.
Alongside his solo endeavors, Ian fronts the hard hitting rock band Wagtail, as well as performing duo shows with fellow bandmate Xavier Collins.
Ian’s music is currently distributed through MGM Distribution and available everywhere.
