Well safe to say our blogs for the rest of the year will probably be all things Christmas, because let’s face it, it’s been a pretty shitty year for most and getting in the Christmas spirit early might just save us in getting over the finish line for 2020.
So all things Christmas here we go!
First of all, I know it’s you wait till the 1st December to put your Christmas tree up, but I have to say mine went up over the weekend and I don’t regret it, I actually probably wish I put it up sooner. The thing is by the time you get your tree out on the 1st December pull all your decorations out and decide you don’t want those colours this year or you need new decorations, it’s a bit of a pain to go to the shops and start shopping for new items. There’s always low stock, it takes you longer to find a car park than you’ll be shopping for, there’s too many people at the shops and it’s just a lot, so setting up your Christmas tree before December seems like the go to in my eyes.
Also lets just slip it in here because this will benefit us all, but black Friday sales will be happening soon, so if you haven’t already started your Christmas shopping that will probably be the time to start. It’s a win, win really. You are buying presents whilst saving money to either buy more presents or just be able to pocket that money yourself and spending less then you thought you would, which who doesn’t love that. Maybe have a list of a few things in mind that you are looking to buy or stores you are wanting to buy from so you have an idea as to what you’re looking for, because sometimes a whole lot of sales can be a bit overwhelming.
Deciding what to do on Christmas day is probably the next big thing that you might need to start thinking about. I have a big family and with these restrictions still in place in only having 20 people at a time visit your home won’t be working for us. With 30 people allowed to gather outdoors is more the way we are looking to go, hopefully by then more restrictions have eased so we can celebrate with all our loved ones, but these are the other things you might need to keep in mind for the day. Other things to then think of is food on the day which we will be doing a separate blog on that so make sure you keep an eye out for when that hits int he coming weeks.
Happy Christmas prepping!
